 GU14 Manchester Cup Finalists The Eagles GU-14 team capped off a successful season with a tremendous effort at one of the premier tournaments for their age group. After traveling to Portland, Oregon, the Eagles GU-14 team participated in the coveted Nike Manchester Cup. The girls seemed to be “the underdogs” on paper, but not on the field. The girls showed the other teams that they deserved to be there. |

Soccer club from Camarillo has come a long way By Rhiannon Potkey Monday, June 16, 2008 The trophy resides on a shelf in his room. There were many more that followed, but it is one of few that Vince Thomas has kept in his possession. Seeing the words "Under-10 Girls Surf Cup Finalist 1999" is a daily reminder of how far his Camarillo Eagles Soccer Club team has come. "As soon as they found a way to get to that final game, I knew this group was special," Thomas said. "It was just this small team from little Camarillo, but they had this burning desire that was amazing." |

Eagles’ Girls win third title in five years |
2008 Under-18 girls title decided on Mother's Day Playing in their fifth US Youth Soccer Cal South State Championship final in five years, the defending US Youth Soccer National Champion Eagles SC of Camarillo, California defeated Laguna Hills Eclipse White 6-5 on penalty kicks to win its third State crown and second in succession. The match was tied 1-1 at the conclusion of 90 minutes of regulation and 2-2 at the end of 30 additional minutes of overtime. |
