Bryan Monka has been coaching soccer either at the club, high school or collegiate level since the year 2000. He holds a USSF National “B” License and graduated with a double major in Business/Economics and Spanish from UCSB. Bryan grew up playing at locally Rio Mesa High School and for the Eagles Soccer Club. He went on to play collegiately for Division I powerhouses UCSB and Liberty University. Following his collegiate career, Bryan was further blessed by having the opportunity to play professionally for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Along with being the Boys Youth Director and coaching teams in the Eagles organization, Bryan is currently coaching girls’ soccer at Oaks Christian High School, a scout for Cal South ODP, and runs the Monka Soccer Academy. Bryan believes in a possession style game and is passionate about teaching skill and creativity together with hard work and discipline. Bryan hopes to inspire his students to achieve excellence not only in soccer, but in all of their life endeavors.
