Eagles BU10 Reach Simi Valley Labor Day Finals
The Eagles won their first three games by a combined score of 11-3 including a semi-final 2-1 win over DMS in a tough physical game. Both teams know each other having played 5 times in the last two years along with two friendlies and it was a real battle. In those 5 games our record against them is 3-1-1.In the final they played the SCV Magic team who beat the 3 teams by a combined score of an incredible 34-2! The Eagles played them tough. The final score was 4-1 Magic. The Eagles' second place was against as good as a team as they ever have played and they'are very proud of it!
Our BU9 Team (now BU10) won the Oxnard Youth Premier Soccer League Championship and we could not be prouder of our boys! We played a ten game season this Spring on the Silver level and were 6-2-2. just one point out of first place of 8 teams of a very competitive league. We won the Semi-Final 5-4 and the Championship game on Penalty Kicks after a 2-2 Tie. After going 0-10 last year, Coach Monka took the long view all last Spring and the boys worked on technique, shape, and possession soccer. This year, playing virtually the same players with one addition and playing the same teams we had great success.
