Eagles Calendar

The Camarillo Eagles U-16 girls’ soccer team captured the title of Champion this past weekend at Surf Cup in San Diego. Surf Cup is an international soccer tournament featuring the “Best of the Best.”.  The Eagles outscored the opposition 6-2 in pool play before winning 4-0 in the semi-finals against local favorite, San Diego Surf.  In the finals, the Eagles faced Leahi, Hawaii's State Champion team, a team they had never before beaten. The very determined Eagles scored twice in the first half courtesy of Nattie Richardson and Sarah Mendenhall.  In the second half, the Eagles turned up the defense pressure and thanks to the fine goalkeeping of Roxanne Myers captured the Championship title.

The Eagles have had a very successful summer winning the Eagles Cool Classic in June and placing second in the Slammers Classic. Other members of the team are Katianna Tron, Lauryn Lyskin, Kimberly Pimenthal, Lauren Bermudez, Whitley Boller, Naomi Linares, Amanda Galvez, Vanessa Melgoza, Susan Lucas, Meghan Ray, Rachael Ocello, Bri Singh, Tori Burgin, Camelia Pacheco, Sarah Ishikawa, Hannah Dearborn, Jane Sidley. The team is coached by Michael Alexander.

Congratulations to the Eagles GU15 Blue team and their coach Mikey Alexander on their outstanding play over Thanksgiving weekend. Over three days the Eagle players amassed a 4-0-2 record to capture the Championship of the Nomads Thanksgiving Tournament. It was a soggy weekend, weather wise, where in pool play the Eagles tied Carlsbad Lightening Red, beat Palmdale Thunder, and tied Marin FC 95 Blue to win their bracket and move to the quarterfinals. In the quarters they beat LAFC Chelsea White and moved on to the Semis where they beat Palo Alto FC 95 Blue Victory. The final game pitted the Eagles against FWU Reign 94 from Federal Way, Washington, where the Eagles finished the tournament winning 2-0. It was the icing on the cake to a successful season before the players move on to their high school soccer season.
