The Eagles Soccer Club welcomes Joey Hoffman as the new director of boys. Joey is passionate, student athlete-focused, driven to succeed, and a people person.

“I am very excited to be back in my community of Ventura County where I grew up and to join the Eagles Soccer Club family. The Eagles staff is lead with an ethic care and are family-oriented which very much aligns with my own philosophy toward coaching and leadership. I am looking forward to supporting and leading the coaches and players on the boys side." These words are from Joey Hoffman, the new Boy's Director of Eagles Soccer Club of Camarillo, CA (a U.S. Soccer Development Academy member) who joins the club February 1, 2020. In addition, Joey will conduct coaching education for the entire coaching staff.

Joey is an innovative leader and coach with over 20 years of experience coaching soccer across multiple contexts and ages from coaching U8 kids to a national team, his experience includes:

  • 20 years club coaching U8-U19 Boys and Girls (Beach, FRAM, Real So Cal, Rampage, Surf, JUSA Select, So Cal United)
  • 12 years community college assistant coach (Ventura College Women and 1-year Santiago Canyon College Men)
  • 15 Years ODP Head Coach Boys and Girls teams
  • Six years as Women's Assistant Coach at Loyola Marymount University (Division 1) Director of two clubs JUSA Select and FRAM Soccer club (where he grew FRAM Soccer from 33 teams to 51 teams)
  • Philippines Women’s National Team Assistant Coach

Joey has expertise in leading all aspects of soccer programs inclusive of coach hiring, training, and supervision, fiscal management, facility oversight/scheduling and travel coordination. He is highly skilled in coach, team and player development and recruitment of elite players. Joey has demonstrated his commitment to being his best and training others to be their best. He has the highest coaching license possible in the US, a USSF A License, he also has a USSF National Youth License and is a United States Soccer Federation Grassroots Instructor. Additionally, he has been a coach educator for over 20 years for Cal South.
