Eagles Girls 2008 knock off 5 Top 20 National Ranked Opponents to wrap up the club's CRL Championship

Eagles 2008 Girls wrapped up their California Regional League campaign showcasing their talent against some of the toughest opponents in the country which gives them the automatic bid into Regionals. The group found themselves on the top of their bracket scoring 21 goals (lead CRL) while only giving up 5. They continued their run in the playoff semi final knocking off San Diego Surf (ranked 8th nationally) with a 1-0 result thanks to goal scored in the last minute of regulation. The finals had them faced Legends Pre Academy (ranked 6th nationally) which was another hard fought 1-0 victory for the Eagles. The team also had a couple personal allocates to it's name as well; Cayden "KK" Chowana-Bandhu leading the competition with 10 goals and her teammate, Kaitlyn Wright, was tied in second adding 7 goals for the team.

The team came into the CRL playoffs wrapping up an impressive Silverlakes Fall Showcase Championship knocking off an impressive Slammers Pre DA team (ranked 10th nationally) in a come from behind final with a 2-1 result. The teams looks to complete the trifecta with National Cup.

Coach Ronny Shields contributed the success to the long term development path the girls have been since he began with the team 4 years back. Working hard, making big mistakes and having fun/loving the game have been the 3 pillars of success for the group.
