2019 Blues Cup Champions

Eagles Blue 2008 wrapped up summer in style finishing as champions of Blues Cup 2019! The girls finished in 1st place and as the highest scoring team during of bracket play with impressive wins over CDA Slammers Huntington Beach 2008 (3-0), LA Galaxy Orange County 2008 (4-0) and CDA Slammers Diamond Bar 2008 (6-2) during day 1 and 2.

Day 3 brought a tough semi final clash with LUFC Wildfire 2008G who were the only other team in the tournament to win all 3 opening games. In a close and exciting game the girls showed great character and heart to come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 with a last minute goal! The championship game was a match up against the hosts SoCal Blues 2008 (Helm). After 60 minutes of soccer the girls couldn’t be separated with the game finishing 1-1. The girls held there nerves and won the PK shoot out 4-2 crowning them champions of Blues Cup 2019! Congratulations to Eagles Blue 2008G and Coach Klaren Jubilee on a successful weekend in San Diego!

2019 LA Galaxy Conejo Valley Summer Cup Finalist

Eagles Blue 2008 finished as finalists at the LA Galaxy Conejo Valley Summer Cup 2019. Competing in Flight 1 the girls topped group play after Day 1 with wins over GPS LA 2008 (2-1) and Santa Barbara SC Elite 2008 (4-0). During day 2 and girls knocked out hosts hosts CV LA Galaxy 2008 in the semi final with an impressive 4-0 win. In an all Eagles championship game the teams couldn’t be separated in regulation time with the game finishing 2-2. The girls fell just short during extra time loosing 3-2. Congratulations to the girls and Coach Klaren and a great weekend of soccer.

2019 Carlsbad Cup Finalist

The Eagles Blue 2008G finished as Finalists in the LA Galaxy San Diego Carlsbad Cup last weekend. During group play the girls finished with 3 wins out of 3 conceding only 1 goal with impressive victories over SoCal Blues 2008 (Helm), San Diego Force FC 2008 (Tennelle) and LA Galaxy San Diego Premier 2008 (Espinoza). The girls fell just short in the championship game with a narrow loss to SoCal Blues 2008. Congratulations to Klaren Jubilee and the girls on a fantastic weekend of soccer!
